Scarpa Origin VS

The Origin VS Women’s climbing shoe is perfect for relatively new climbers eager to advance their skills quickly, and experienced climbers wanting both comfort and surprisingly impressive technical capabilities. The Origin VS has a neutral shape and a medium-width fit to cater for most foot shapes. The toe position is slightly relaxed so it’s pleasant to wear for prolonged use.

The toe box is generously coated with soft M50 rubber often found on Scarpa’s high-performance models, providing optimal grip for hooking on any surface, from modern indoor holds to all types of outdoor rock. Additionally, the PAF heel system utilizes ingenious engineering to evenly distribute heel tension and alleviate over-compression in the toe box, resulting in a superior fit for the heel. The aggressive tension rubber is thoughtfully interrupted behind the heel to ease pressure on the Achilles tendon and paired with a softer, “bridge-like” rubber that molds perfectly to the heel’s contours, ensuring maximum comfort and eliminating any potential pain or discomfort.

Rubber: S72 is a high-friction rubber, developed and tested by Scarpa. This soft compound gives a Shore A rating of 72, making it very adaptable to any surface and providing an excellent mechanical keying effect. S72 works equally well on rock and Indoor walls. Scarpa has cleverly welded rand rubber between the soft toe patch and sticky sole unit to reinforce the front of the shoes. This added durability helps prevent an early blowout of the toe ends which is a common trait with novice climbers whilst they are still honing their foot placement skills. The sole unit can also be resoled.
