Edelrid Zodiac 3R

Edelrid continues to lead the way in sustainability with the Zodiac 3R climbing and mountaineering helmet. The Zodiac 3R is the first helmet on the market to be made from part-recycled materials without any detriment to the safety of the user.

The outer shell is a polyamide which is made up of 100% recycled climbing ropes from Edelrid’s rope production. The EPS inner shell is also fully recycled. 

The modern design of the helmet offers maximum comfort and ventilation for sustained periods whilst climbing or long days in the mountains and via ferratas. The hybrid construction offers all-round protection, especially against side impacts. 

There is a cleverly designed wing-fit system which allows for a quick and easily optimized fit w with an upgraded chin strap buckle. 

The internal padding of the helmet is also removable and washable so you can keep your helmet, fresher, for longer.

Upcycled

Edelrid always tries to avoid waste and leftovers in their production. If this is not possible, the material is melted down or otherwise reprocessed, for example in the form of material carabiners, backpacks or belts.
